Greetings,
Today is the first day of May, Happy Worker's Day and happy New Month.
We thank God for his mercies in these challenging times especially in the wake of COVID 19.
Hopefully, this will be a turning point that we eventually nip the virus in the bud and revamp our comatose lives affected by the virus.
Let’s persevere for a while for there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Let me share some things I learned on mental resilience and personal productivity.
MENTAL RESILIENCE AND PERSONAL PRODUCTIVITY.
1) What does it mean to be Mentally Resilient?
Mental Resilience also referred to as Psychological resilience is the ability to mentally or emotionally cope with a crisis or return to pre-crisis status quickly - Wikipedia
Mental Resilience will help you turn what comes to you to positivity. The ability to roll with your current situation is the ability to have resilience. Are you able to navigate through crisis or will you allow it knock you out? This is the ability to resist everything that comes to you that is negative.

2) Is resilience a skill that can be taught?
Yes, resilience can be taught. Learning can start as early as from childhood. It is sad to see that more people are bothered about how to get more money but neglect the skills of being resilient. Lack of emotional resilience is the cause of domestic abuse.
Everyone has his/her limit. Limitations are based on a person’s mindset and upbringing. It is okay to grieve your disappointments, throw a pity party and all but do not wallow in it. Wallowing in self-pity can lead to depression or suicide. It is either you let challenges put you down or you take advantage of the obstacles to WIN.
You need to reach out for help. Join an accountability circle, get a mentor or join a power tribe. Do not be by yourself. Surround yourself with positivity.
The higher you go the more you need to build resilience. It is important you find out your weak point that is not letting you be resilient.

3. How can one improve their personal productivity?
To BECOME you need to first BE. To experience personal productivity you need to do the following:
• Affiliate yourself with positivity.
• Be self aware.
• Avoid negativity.
• Be confident in yourself
• Build competence
• Recognise your limitations
• Do not over goal yourself. Set no nonsense goals and ditch nonsensical goals.
. Find time to rest. You’re not an Algorithm
• Schedule your distractions
• Outsource! Don’t try to be superman or Superwoman, Identify your strengths, outsource the rest.
• Reward yourself! Celebrate your WINS no matter how little
• Gratitude! Be grateful for what you have
• Follow inspirational contents from others.
• Practice acceptance. Accept what you’re going through.
• Practice care
• Choose to thrive.
The summary of the matter is we all have to build Mental Resilience! –So critical.
Stay Safe , Sanitize , Wash your hands, maintain social distance , Stay home and stay productive.
Question of the day.
1. How can you use mental resilience and personal productivity to achieve your goals in the month of may?
2. How did last Month go with your goals , what are your May goals?
